Our small but rapidly growing team is in need of a critical field training and support function leader to successfully launch and support our growing Team.
Job brief
We are looking for an Operations Manager to oversee all staff, and operations of the local business unit. Operations Manager responsibilities include managing people, and ensuring that the work is executed to a high standard. To be successful in this role, you should be diligent, detail and results oriented, helping our people develop and be productive while ensuring our profits are on the rise. This position will be responsible for hiring, training, and running crews This person will overseeing all work on the job sites ensuring that execution is handled flawlessly. Ultimately, you’ll help our company grow and thrive. The expectation is to be on site for each job as needed. This is not an office-based position though there may be some administrative work involved. We may all have to run striping equipment or pitch in to make sure that the work gets completed on time.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Daily operations
- Ensure there is executable daily, weekly and Monthly Planning Schedule
- Collaborate with owner on strategy and goal setting for growth
- Maintain budgets and optimize expenses
- Responsible for maintaining the operational condition of all equipment
- Ensure material inventory is in stock for the execution of the schedule
- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
- Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
- Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
- Direct the employee assessment process
- Develop Relationships with Vendors
- Prepare regular reports for ownership
- Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
- Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)
Requirements and skills
Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to drive and Truck and Trailer Combo
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Construction experience a plus
- BSc/BA in Business or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus but not mandatory
- Flexible Scheduling is required
